Emma Edwards present Flu and Covid-19 training for General Practice
Staff new to immunisations or returning to immunisations after a prolonged
interval. These online sessions will include:
- The flu and COVID programme for 2024/2025
- Legal
aspects of vaccination, including the process of consent
- The importance
of the cold chain
- Correct
administration of vaccination
- Adverse effects
following vaccination and how to recognise and treat anaphylaxis
Delegates will be asked to complete a workbook, to be submitted prior to the course starting. This will be issued a couple of weeks in advance of the training date. Please allow time to complete this before the training session. There will also be an online assessment to take after the training; please allow time time complete this before 5pm on the day of virtual teaching session.
This is an interactive teaching session and it is expected that delegates will be
in a quiet environment in which they can use a camera and a microphone to
communicate with the rest of the group. Inability to communicate with
others during the session may lead to the course not being successfully
completed.
It is expected that you will attend the session virtually from a quiet location at which you will not be disturbed, and you will have access to a microphone and camera on your device. Every delegate must have their own device to use throughout this session. This is a requirement for attending this interactive course.
